- Assist patients with preparation for physician visits and examinations, as directed by our clinical staff.
- Take patients' vital signs and record them in their medical charts.
- Understand and operate special equipment, including EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and Titmus Test machines.
- Perform lab testing, such as UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other tests as indicated by our clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports, and file documents as needed.
- Assist with billing and collections procedures as required.
- Utilize computer software to maintain office systems and ensure efficient operations.
- Identify and address confidentiality issues, and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Modify and deliver care that meets the unique needs of our patient population, including those with diverse backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by our clinical staff.
- Adhere to Hackensack Meridian Health's organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting, pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
