About the Role

The Open Coverage Sales Executive position is a key role in our Tax & Accounting Professionals Large client segment, responsible for retaining and growing existing accounts and acquiring new ones within their geographic area of responsibility.

This virtual role requires excellent telephone and writing skills, as well as the ability to apply strong business acumen to conduct thorough needs analyses within accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draw on high levels of initiative and business acumen to conduct thorough needs analyses within accounts.
  • Develop trust and demonstrate credibility with all account stakeholders through knowledge of Thomson Reuters' products and services, as well as acquired knowledge of the tax and accounting industry.
  • Tailor client presentations to unique account needs and articulate proposals through ROI justification to shorten the sales cycle.
  • Attain sales quotas monthly.
  • Demonstrate the use of Tax & Accounting products to customers, including UltraTax, Go Systems Tax, Checkpoint Tax Research, and Automation solutions.
  • Obtain and provide territory information regarding market intelligence and penetration.
  • Confer with and assist in customer-related issues as needed to maintain good customer relations.
  • Complete weekly sales performance reports and CRM reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Drive strategic initiatives supported by assigned account team, consisting of Sales Development Representative, Client Executive, and Solutions Consultants, to drive growth in assigned territory.
  • Leverage sales automation tools and data insights to engage prospects and expedite sales cycles.
  • Attend sales meetings and conventions as required.
  • Manage open territories in the event of vacancies.
About You
  • Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience with a proven track record of quota attainment.
  • Software as a Service Sales (SAAS) experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to maximize phone and virtual client meetings/presentations.
  • Strong prospecting and closing skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Ambitious self-starter with high energy and motivation.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite, utilizing a CRM (such as Salesforce preferred), and overall technical aptitude.
  • Continuous learner, flexible, and open-minded, with a positive attitude.
  • High level of integrity and understanding of sales ethics.
