We are seeking a highly skilled Global Alliance Director to join our team at Backbase. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating and executing strategic alliances with global partners to drive business growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Business Planning: Analyze market trends and recommend target alliances that will have the biggest impact on our business.
  • Executive-Level Business Development: Conduct strategic business development with a limited set of global alliances to drive growth and customer success.
  • Global Go-to-Market Strategy: Craft global go-to-market and solution offerings that leverage Backbase as a catalyst for growth.
  • Business Case Development: Create business cases for investments in time, money, and resources prior to kick-starting global engagements.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, incentive, and other commercial schemes and close strategic alliance contracts.
  • Thought Leadership: Evangelize Backbase at partner events, including internal events and external customer-facing events.
  • Collateral Development: Create collateral to sustain Backbase's category leadership in digital banking.
Requirements
  • Deal Making and Sales Experience: Experienced in deal making and passionate about sales and working with cloud and/or Independent Software vendors.
  • Financial Services Expertise: Good network and understanding of Financial Services / Banking.
  • Executive Relationship Management: Demonstrated success in managing executive relationships with partners and/or customers.
  • Consultative Skills: Smart, consultative, and able to understand partner business drivers and establish buy-in at all levels.
  • Presentation and Communication Skills: Compelling presentation style to boost the Backbase profile at wide partner audiences.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor or University degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in digital agency and/or enterprise software.
  • Thought Leadership and Communication: Exceptional thought leadership, presentation, and communication skills - both verbal and written (English).
  • Target Setting and Development Planning: Ability to set clear targets and development plans, and set objectives to achieve those targets.
