Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled QuickBooks expert to join our team at Novinger, Ball & Zivi, a Knoxville-based Certified Public Accounting Firm. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both QuickBooks Desktop and Online, as well as general ledger experience and significant accounting knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client support and training for QuickBooks, including accounts receivable, payable, billing, payroll setup, bank and credit card reconciliations, class tracking, and journal entries.
  • New client setup in QuickBooks.
  • Record third-party payroll transactions and depreciation entries for clients.
  • General ledger review.
  • Preparation of payroll tax returns, sales tax returns, and tangible personal property reports.
  • Billing for clients.
  • Onboarding clients to a third-party accounting platform, maintaining assigned accounts, and preparing month-end close checklists.
  • Assisting tax staff with trial balance clean-up work when time permits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
  • General ledger experience and significant accounting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with financial statements in QuickBooks and running reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Initiative and problem-solving desire.
  • Familiarity with Bill.com is a plus.
  • Experience working with multiple industries is a plus.

Compensation Package

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
