POSITION PURPOSE:


The Construction Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the transformation of a section of an aircraft hangar into office space.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Ensure comprehensive project oversight to meet budgetary and scheduling goals while adhering to design specifications.

In collaboration with the Project Manager, plan weekly activities and guide subcontractors on their assigned tasks.

Engage in scope assessments of various bid packages to ensure thoroughness and coordination.
Identify construction sequences and considerations during the finalization of bid package acquisitions.

Work alongside the Project Manager to establish and manage site utilization, security measures, and other necessary arrangements for effective project execution.

Guarantee that all subcontractor activities, material orders, submissions, deliveries, and modifications are accurately documented and aligned with project requirements.

Compile and verify all information essential for the ongoing creation, monitoring, and adjustment of the project schedule.

Administer field subcontractor management.
Maintain comprehensive oversight of all self-performed and subcontracted work, ensuring adequate workforce levels and hours to meet contract obligations.
Assist the project team in developing metrics to evaluate actual performance against expectations.
Provide insights for project estimates related to future tasks and change orders.
Monitor and manage scope completion to reduce punch list items and facilitate project close-out.

Prepare daily reports, job logs, narratives, and any other documentation as required by company standards and project needs.

Enforce all safety regulations and standards set by clients and the company.
Conduct job site inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance.
Supervise complex mechanical, civil, HVAC, electrical, fire suppression, and building finish tasks.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
A combination of relevant experience and education that demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge will be considered.
Possess one (1) to five (5) years of experience in leading construction projects for a general contractor.
At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
Experience with vertical and utility construction projects.
Experience managing both direct labor and subcontractors.

Skills and Abilities:
Must exhibit a strong work ethic and values that reflect integrity.

Ability to operate with minimal supervision while ensuring strict adherence to design, procedures, and schedules, and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

Experience in cost and schedule management.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
Ability to collaborate within a team environment and align with company culture and processes.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with DOD/DOE projects is preferred.
OSHA 30 Certification is preferred.
A degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
Knowledge of historical renovation practices.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role involves work at a construction site, requiring both indoor and outdoor duties. Extended hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines. Dexterity of hands and fingers is required for operating a computer and other business equipment. Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat.

The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
