Maintenance Mechanic II Position at State of Vermont

This is an exciting opportunity to join the State of Vermont's Buildings & General Service (BGS) team as a Maintenance Mechanic II. As a key member of the Operations & Management Division, you will play a vital role in maintaining the state's facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Order materials and supplies as needed for maintenance and repairs.
- Assist with construction and alteration projects, including maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Respond to emergencies and perform repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective and efficient maintenance and repair services.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in building construction, structural maintenance, or building repair and maintenance.
- Completion of a vocational/technical training program in building trades, mechanical repair, industrial arts, or a closely related field.
