Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the position of Director of Clinical Services at Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services. As a leading provider of mental health and wellness services in the region, we are committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership and supervision to the clinical services team, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based mental health care.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of clinical programs and interventions, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the enhancement and growth of clinical services.
  • Staff Development
    • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of licensed mental health professionals, ensuring a high standard of care and adherence to organizational policies.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among clinical staff, promoting excellence in practice.
    • Establish and maintain regular communication with all staff, providing regular supervision and support.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical programs through regular assessments and outcome measurements.
    • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall impact and efficiency of clinical services.
    • Review staff charts to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Collaboration and Community Engagement
    • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and other mental health organizations.
    • Represent the organization at relevant community events and participate in advocacy efforts to promote mental health awareness.
  • Budget Management
    • Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage the clinical services budget, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or Social Work, and currently holding a South Dakota license in that field.
  • At least two years of supervised postgraduate clinical experience and an additional two years of experience in a mental health setting.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based clinical practices and mental health treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of mental health professionals.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Southern Plains Behavioral Health Services.
