Key Responsibilities:

The Mental Health Integrated Care Center (ICC) serves Veterans across a vast region, including rural areas in North Dakota, Minnesota, and South Dakota.

The incumbent will hold full responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, and managing a diverse range of Clinical Programs within Mental Health.

Administrative and Supervisory Duties:
(65% of time)
The incumbent will oversee a team of professionals at various levels, providing essential administrative, technical, and clinical supervision to ensure the unit's objectives are met. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing quality and performance improvement initiatives for mental health programs.
  • Utilizing independent judgment to adjust staffing and productivity levels.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Veterans, families, and community organizations.
  • Managing clinical and business operations to ensure program effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

The incumbent will also develop a data-driven continuous quality improvement program to assess and document the effectiveness of mental health services.

Clinical Responsibilities:
(at least 25% of time)
The role involves providing a comprehensive range of clinical services, including:

  • Assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders using evidence-based practices.
  • Education for patients and their families.
  • Individual and group psychotherapy.

The incumbent will create and document treatment plans for assigned patients, ensuring timely completion of clinical reminders.

Academic and Training Responsibilities:
(up to 5% of time)
Providing training and clinical consultation to psychiatry residents and trainees from other disciplines.

Additional Responsibilities:
(up to 5% of time)
Participation in committees or task forces at various levels as assigned.

Work Schedule:
Standard working hours, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications:
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and possess a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program. A full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology is required.

Experience as a professional psychologist, including supervisory roles, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, knowledge of evidence-based practices, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
