Job Summary

Ascend Staffing is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead the development and implementation of HR strategies that support business objectives and foster a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's overall business objectives to support growth and enhance business performance.
  • Organizational Development: Lead organizational development initiatives, including succession planning, talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement programs.
  • HR Metrics and Analytics: Monitor, analyze, and report on key HR metrics; use data-driven insights to influence decision-making and improve HR practices.
  • Culture and Employer Branding: Promote a positive work environment, strengthen company culture, and enhance employer branding through employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the HR budget, including forecasting and managing costs associated with HR initiatives, programs, and benefits.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with State and Federal employment laws; develop policies and procedures to mitigate organizational risk.
  • Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution: Oversee complex employee relations issues, provide strategic guidance on conflict resolution, and support leadership with disciplinary actions.
  • Compensation and Benefits Strategy: Develop and oversee compensation and benefits strategies that align with the company's talent acquisition and retention goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to drive cross-functional initiatives that support overall business performance.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs on HR best practices, employment laws, and leadership development.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI initiatives, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace that reflects the company's values.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2-5 years in an HR leadership role.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business success.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis and HR metrics; ability to interpret data and use insights to influence decision-making.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing HR team.
  • Change Management: Experience leading large-scale change management initiatives and driving organizational transformation.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively identify and solve complex HR issues.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
