Position Requirements
  • Proven experience in SIGINT analysis:
    • Completion of the Military Signals Analysis Program (MESAP, MCSAP, MOSAP) or equivalent qualifications in DoD Signals Analysis roles (including USAF 1N2, Army MOS 35 or 98, Navy IS or 9141, and similar).
    • Alternatively, a decade of relevant civilian experience in support of DoD or similar signal analysis with a BA/BS in a related technical discipline.
  • Capability to assess and synthesize information from SIGINT and non-SIGINT data sources to enhance analysis and reporting against demanding mission requirements aimed at supporting warfighters, safeguarding national security, and advising national leaders.
  • Experience collaborating within a small team and coordinating across various governmental and contractor resources to address SIGINT domain challenges.
  • Ability to extract critical elements of information from datasets, organize, and compile them into concise written reports.
  • Familiarity with raw (sampled) ELINT/FIS/PROFORMA and descriptor words for signals analysis utilizing tools such as ASPEN, Martes, Willow, M2Extra.
  • Experience in generating formalized serialized SIGINT reports that detail analysis and infer system performance and parameters is advantageous.
  • Understanding of National repositories (e.g., EWIRDB, WRANGLER, CED, NTIPS, IM&S, etc.).
  • Possession of a current TS//SCI clearance with at least a CI polygraph.
Desired/Bonus:
  • Familiarity with data-science tools and techniques for the automated extraction of critical items of interest from extensive datasets.
  • Experience with full life-cycle software development tools, methodologies, processes, and programming languages.
  • Proven track record of leading small to mid-sized technical teams/projects.
Description

MRSL offers exciting growth and career opportunities for a Lead SIGINT Operations Analyst within a secure environment. This role may involve interaction with various aspects of SIGINT, with a focus on ELINT, FISINT, and/or PROFOMA. Experience in the analysis and integration of other intelligence sources (SIGINT, GEOINT, OSINT, etc.) is also preferred. Familiarity with ground, air, or maritime weapon systems and the National collection-processing-reporting chain is highly valued. This position also requires the ability to support and/or lead teams in analysis, reporting, and the development of new capabilities, transitioning from manual processes to enhanced automation and workflow processing. Example responsibilities include:
  • Utilizing raw SIGINT and descriptor words for signals analysis with tools like ASPEN, Martes, Willow, M2Extra.
  • Assisting in the development of data-science tools and techniques for the automated extraction of critical items of interest from large datasets.
  • Conducting data analysis and related research:
  • Investigating threat systems and coordinating on desired outcomes.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and validation of USG SIGINT systems.
  • Analyzing datasets, extracting key information, and tagging data.
  • Creating report-quality tables, graphics, and other artifacts.
  • Compiling comprehensive analytical reports.
  • Understanding complex National and DoD systems and supporting the implementation and deployment of new capabilities.
  • Cross-training software developers in analysis and tradecraft.
  • Training team members in analysis, tools, etc., to enhance their productivity in handling raw datasets and signals tradecraft.
