Job Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, and work experience
5-7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Adaptability to various software tools is beneficial.
Strong organizational capabilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
The Operations Financial Analyst will lead financial modeling, analysis, projections, reporting, and ad-hoc planning. This role relies on business acumen and judgment to coordinate and achieve diverse goals and complex tasks. A significant degree of creativity and autonomy is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasts for design and construction projects, considering all relevant cost factors.
- Provide insights into long-term financial commitments (real estate, design, entitlements, easements, utility infrastructure implications, long-lead equipment) to ensure effective communication of these financial implications across the organization.
- Monitor project progress against financial benchmarks and conduct variance analysis to facilitate timely forecast updates and enhance cash forecasting.
- Assess the financial impact of property taxes, utility expenses, and other regulatory obligations.
- Track and analyze Customer Installation costs to ensure accurate expenditures, billing, and recovery rates.
- Assist management in evaluating and approving non-recurring customer installation expenses, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with various departments, including accounting, operations, sales, procurement, and product management, to ensure alignment of financial goals and strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics to provide contextual insights in financial reporting.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of Value-Added Services initiatives and vendor modifications to evaluate their viability and potential return on investment.
- Offer recommendations for optimizing the use of professional services based on financial data and industry benchmarks.
- Coordinate accurate and comprehensive deal-kits cost-template updates and margin analysis.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement through cost reductions or pricing adjustments.
- Support sales and operations teams in structuring deals that maximize financial returns while addressing customer needs.
- Analyze labor cost data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Perform additional duties as required and assigned.
