Business Development Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team at Guaranty Bank and Trust Co. This role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, underwriting, structuring, and closing of all loans, as well as maintaining and servicing their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Participate with management personnel in establishing an effective business development marketing program for the bank, conduct and establish relationships with customers and the community to enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.
- Loan Origination: Originate and recommend loans for approval under individual authority and/or the respective loan committees, service credit needs of customers and potential customers by conducting interviews to determine credit worthiness.
- Portfolio Management: Apply ongoing supervision and administration of loans until ultimate collection, monitor loan payments and update financial and credit information.
- Community Involvement: Participate in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
- Work Environment: This role operates in a clerical, office setting as well as out of the physical bank to call on prospects and customers.
- Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
