Job Title: Curriculum Design Specialist

Mattress Firm is seeking a skilled Curriculum Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our learning and development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs and resources to support company strategy and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs and resources to support company strategy and initiatives
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design relevant and accurate learning materials
  • Listen, understand, articulate, and write complex educational materials for end-user understanding and adoption
  • Present and recommend course design, technology, and instruction delivery options
  • Provide analytical support for developing training programs, learning strategies, educational policies, or coursework standards
  • Observe, receive, obtain, and, at times, seek out information from executive-level professionals, subject matter experts, and collaborators across multiple departments
  • Create and revise written material to meet department standards and satisfy the organization's and end user's needs
  • Present and train facilitation leaders on goals, organizational alignment, content, style, and program deliverables while representing the department professionally
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts
  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in a professional environment preferred
  • 3+ years of training experience preferred
  • 3+ years of experience training in a blended learning environment for a nationwide, omnichannel organization preferred
  • 3+ years of experience supporting and sustaining large-scale, nationwide learning programs preferred
  • 3+ years of retail experience required

Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of retail, sales, and/or the bedding industry High
  • Working knowledge of a Learning Management System (Saba preferred) High
  • Curriculum design process: For example, ADDIE Medium
  • Content creation tools: For example, Articulate Rise or Storyline, Vyond, etc. Medium
  • General Training Facilitation Preparation: Sales Meetings, New Hire Workshops, etc. Medium
  • Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Medium
  • Writing, Proofing, and Editing High
