Buckner International is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life Skills Coach to join our team. As a Life Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in assisting in the daily operations of our Teen Program and facilitating the Life & Leadership program for ages 13-15.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Facilitation: Provide training for students on various life skills, including leadership, communication, character development, goal setting, and educational success.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan and facilitate the curriculum to be used for the program, including daily projects, workshops, and guest speakers.
  • Environment Creation: Establish an environment that stimulates self-confidence, personal expression, culturally sensitivity, trust, and respect for others.
  • Learning Process: Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
  • Program Implementation: Organize, schedule, and implement a program of study adapted to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the student population.
  • Classroom Management: Encourage students to maintain appropriate standards of classroom behavior and apply those standards in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate programming with other staff members as needed to assist students in meeting learning objectives.
  • Program Oversight: Oversee the day-to-day program activities to ensure quality standards and a safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years prior related experience working with children and families required.
  • Age: Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
  • Personal Qualities: Shining hope in others (friendly attitude and willingness to learn).
