Position: We are currently seeking a dedicated Catering Manager to oversee our catering operations.

Schedule: This is a full-time role requiring flexibility in working hours. Specific details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements: Candidates must possess a ServSafe certification, with prior experience in bartending and catering preferred.

Reporting To: Senior Catering Director

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $65,000 annually.

Job Overview: As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the Catering Department. This includes training new staff, supervising event setups, and guiding temporary personnel in their daily tasks. You will ensure exceptional service delivery to clients during events, including setup, maintenance, and breakdown procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all catering events to ensure high standards.
  • Engage in catering operations, focusing on logistics, quality enhancement, sanitation, and facility management.
  • Collaborate with the Chef to design innovative menus.
  • Train catering staff in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer engagement.
  • Monitor labor and food costs for each event.
  • Maintain effective communication with management, clients, and team members to foster strong relationships.
  • Assist in managing all foodservice-related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years in food service, including at least 1 year in a management role.
  • Experience in various food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, or healthcare.
  • Proven catering experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, sanitation, and cost control.
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • ServSafe Certification is required.
