Position Summary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving company. We are in search of a forward-thinking Culinary Operations Manager to oversee our expanding business. In this role, you will be accountable for the success of both culinary and food service operations, managing a late-night retail outlet with a team of 10-12 hourly union staff. Responsibilities include menu creation, procurement, inventory management, staff scheduling, and promotional activities. Availability to work weekends and weekdays during evening hours is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehensive culinary management of food service operations, including inventory oversight, procurement, and receiving.
  • Understanding of P&L accountability and experience in contract-managed services is preferred.
  • Expertise in menu design, cost management, purchasing, and inventory control, with an emphasis on sourcing local ingredients.
  • A strong commitment to sustainability practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with HACCP standards.
  • A minimum of two years of culinary management experience in contract food service, upscale dining, or restaurant settings with knowledge of inventory and purchasing controls.
  • In-depth understanding of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost management, and presentation.
  • Experience in exhibition cooking is required.
  • ServSafe certification is advantageous.
