As an Equipment Engineer II, you will be accountable for the assessment, acquisition, installation, and operational support of automated manufacturing machinery. Your role will involve crafting maintenance protocols and policies, establishing a robust support framework, identifying and monitoring equipment shortcomings, and designing as well as executing enhancements. You will collaborate with process engineering and maintenance teams to develop and support innovative processes and applications. Additionally, you will estimate manufacturing costs and time benchmarks while providing recommendations for enhancements. Your responsibilities will also include evaluating new technologies and equipment to improve existing methodologies or implement new process techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire a foundational understanding of the scientific principles underlying the product. Participate in product training sessions.
  • Gain knowledge of product risks and adhere to safe working practices.
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment, including Source, Beamline, and wafer handling areas, while being mindful of product hazards and safety protocols.
  • Perform setup, adjustments, and calibration of wafer handling systems and robotics.
  • Troubleshoot systems across electrical and mechanical disciplines, enlisting expert resources as necessary.
  • Operate demonstration tools for customer showcases and internal product evaluations.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to devise and implement testing plans and value-added solutions. Act as the equipment contact engineer with insights into tool configuration status.
  • Maintain awareness of tool configurations and execute testing plans and value-added solutions.
  • Continue to deepen your understanding of the scientific principles related to the product.

Required Skills:

Capability to perform the physical tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of equipment while utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Travel Requirements: Up to 15%.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
