Job Overview

This role will involve direct interaction with customers to provide technical assistance and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and blueprint reading, as well as experience with technical evaluation and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical evaluations, documentation, and drawings to support aftermarket sales efforts
  • Provide mechanical design support to update existing drawing files and parts lists
  • Collaborate with the aftermarket team to determine the accuracy and viability of customer order requests
  • Direct contact with customers to determine their unique aftermarket needs
  • Receive and review drawing requests from customers and internal departments
  • Determine the correct components and sub-assemblies for customer sites
  • Aid in itemizing required components and sub-assemblies for estimating and purchasing
  • Aid the parts receiving group and quality control effort on small parts/assembly orders
  • Receive and review mechanical parts lists from the engineering department
  • Create or confirm initial parts offering pricing for customers from engineering lists
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in customer technical service
  • Knowledge of mechanical parts and manufacturing methods
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor design software
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (weldments/fabrications, machining/turning, surface treatments/chrome plating)
