Position Overview

We are in search of a highly skilled Lead Software Engineering Specialist to spearhead and contribute to our Software Development Services division. The ideal candidate will possess substantial expertise in conceptualizing, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting to develop and sustain applications, frameworks, and software components. Furthermore, the candidate should have advanced knowledge and proficiency in employing Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to enhance developer efficiency and optimize the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the conception, specification, design, and development of intricate software applications, frameworks, and components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and architect solutions that align with business goals.
  • Utilize advanced Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) to effectively develop, edit, and debug software code, while leveraging built-in capabilities for testing, building, and packaging.
  • Guide junior engineers and provide technical mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, identify areas for enhancement, and implement best practices to optimize code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Engage closely with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and implementation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption to improve our software development methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, focusing on conceptualizing, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), demonstrating proficiency in tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, or Eclipse.
  • Strong programming capabilities in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Effective communication abilities, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.

Target salary range: $123,000 - $219,000. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
