Position Overview:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineering Lead to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead development initiatives to enhance the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution System (FORGE).

FORGE is an innovative program designed to integrate the capabilities of both the legacy Space Based-Infrared System (SBIRS) and the Next Generation OPIR system.

This initiative will leverage existing ground architecture while incorporating cutting-edge technologies, enabling the integration of new systems into a unified Command and Control (C2) architecture that encompasses infrastructure, platforms, and core services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Research, design, develop, and test software at the operating systems level.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and reverse engineering for targeted software.
  • Implement software engineering best practices, including continuous validation and product control.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation and actively participate in system and subsystem planning meetings.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of developers, engineers, system administrators, and network engineers.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Java, or other relevant languages.
  • Experience in reverse engineering and vulnerability assessments.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field, along with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of an active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Command and Control (C2) systems.
  • Experience with SBIRS or OPIR architectures.
  • Full stack development capabilities and knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Experience in cloud computing.
  • Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT level II certification (e.g., CCNA-Security, CySA+, CISSP, Security+, etc.).
  • Current TS/SCI clearance.
