About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) professional to join our team as a Senior Data Center Inventory and Asset Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our inventory balances, providing guidance to technicians, and coordinating with external stakeholders to facilitate inbound and outbound deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of IAM activities.
  • Provide task-specific guidance to technicians responsible for preparing and executing incoming/outgoing deliveries and documenting inbound/outbound packages.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders, including third-party warehouses, OEM vendors, and suppliers, as necessary to facilitate inbound and outbound deliveries.
  • Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  • Leverage process knowledge and technical skills to resolve escalations, clear blocking issues, and enable on-site and/or remote data center support activities.
  • Maintain a stakeholder focus to improve quality and ensure that customers receive the highest return on their investment.
  • Ensure teams maintain and perform the steps required to keep inventory balances accurate.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) about the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) warranty process, ensuring teams process failed vendor hardware devices using tools and processes RMAs.
  • Manage the schedule of DBD destruction or shredding in partnership with senior leadership and ensure teams follow all processes and procedures to perform DBD destruction.
  • Attend, conduct, or assist in conducting daily safety briefings, complete required safety training, and provide guidance to technicians to facilitate compliance with safety procedures.
  • Seek out opportunities to contribute to workstreams and evolve existing workstream processes, services, and solutions toward greater simplification and automation.
