Job Overview

The Data Center Electrical Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing building infrastructure systems, including server containers, cooling equipment, HVAC, electrical systems, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including servers, cooling equipment, and HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and infrastructure.
  • Install and maintain door access controls and security cameras.
  • Follow established protocols and procedures for setting up equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment.
  • Assemble and commission data center equipment.
  • Prepare change management forms.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use of protective equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including fires, evacuations, and equipment failures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working with critical data center infrastructure, with a strong focus on electrical systems.
  • Trade electrical license or certification acquired through education/training preferred.
  • Facilities maintenance certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of hardware and servers.
  • Understanding of data center environments, including network, electrical, filtration, air conditioning, water cooling, and more.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-call at least one weekend day each week and unscheduled overtime as needed.
  • Physical stamina to perform inspections, lift heavy objects, and work in an active environment.
