Medication Administration Specialist

Join Our Team: White Springs Senior Living is actively seeking dedicated Medication Administration Specialists to enhance our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the medication distribution program in compliance with state regulations.
- Supervise Resident Assistants (RAs) and assist in coordinating resident services under the guidance of the Resident Care Director.
- Occasionally fulfill the responsibilities of a Resident Assistant as needed.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for individuals who embody our core values of character, gratitude, purpose, and compassion. The following qualifications are essential:
- State-specific Medication Technician / Registered Medication Aide certification (required to proceed in the hiring process)
- CNA or PCA/DCS Certification in addition to Med Tech license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age of 18 years (21 years if also serving as an SIC)
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Primary Duties:
- Document and review medication administration, referencing residents' charts and administering medications as per physician's directives.
- Ensure timely administration of medications and order residents' medications promptly.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding residents' medications, treatments, and therapies.
- Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring, mobility, and incontinence care.
- Respond to the resident emergency call system.
