Job Overview

The Data Center IT Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing our servers to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and configure servers in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to protocols.
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment, conduct preventive server maintenance, and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in emergency troubleshooting and escalate issues to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Perform overhauls and maintenance on non-rented servers, ensuring they are running at optimal levels.
  • Install and prepare materials as requested, deploying new equipment according to documented procedures.
  • Monitor equipment dashboards and status indicators to identify potential issues.
  • Ensure adherence to service levels for installation, repair, maintenance, or customization of servers.
  • Assess fault severity and create incident reports as necessary.
  • Receive and track materials sent by the head office or subcontractors, suppliers.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of hardware components and dedicated servers.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Excellent understanding of data center environments, including network, electrical, airflow, air filtration, and cooling systems.
  • Technical degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Easily approachable and calm under stressful situations.
  • Ability to work any shift in a 24X7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
