Job Title: Senior Marine Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Engineer to join our team at Leidos Holding. As a Senior Marine Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical analysis and expertise on engineering issues related to shipbuilding and HM&E systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical analysis and expertise on engineering issues related to shipbuilding and HM&E systems.
  • Organize and lead discussions among peers, government customers, and shipbuilders regarding equipment issues.
  • Communicate technical principles directly to clients.
  • Assist junior and mid-level engineers with technical research and presentation development.
  • Prepare technical summaries of meetings for the customer.
  • Perform in-depth reviews into requirements and functionality to validate proposed design changes and investigate issues.
  • Support program reviews and ship trials.
Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
  • B.S. Degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering or a Related Field.
  • 15 Plus (+) Years of experience and demonstrated knowledge of US Navy Shipbuilding processes and procedures, shipboard (HM&E) Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in standard software e.g.: AutoCAD, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and presentation Skills.
  • Up to 10% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 Plus (+) Years of Experience with DDG-51 preferred.
  • U.S. Navy experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MIL Standards and Specifications is preferred.
