Job Title: Missile Effectiveness System Specialist

About the Job:
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a highly skilled Missile Effectiveness System Specialist to analyze and evaluate tactical missile system performance against complex and emergent threats. This role requires a strong background in aerospace engineering, physics, or computer science with experience analyzing driving factors behind missile system performance or working with aerospace systems.

About the Role:
The Missile Effectiveness Analyst will build and leverage novel data visualization tools for large and complex data sets, preparing and presenting formal documentation to technical specialists, operational partners, and government sponsors. A bachelor's degree is required, while a master's degree is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding of aerospace systems and their applications
  • Building and leveraging novel data visualization tools

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another engineering field
  • Experience analyzing driving factors behind missile system performance or working with aerospace systems
  • Strong programming skills with languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++

The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $140,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location.
