Aerospace Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Systems Engineer to join our team at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a member of our diverse and hardworking team, you will be responsible for characterizing and evaluating tactical missile system performance against complex and emergent threats.
About the Role:
In this role, you will build and leverage novel data visualization tools for large and complex data sets. You will also prepare and present formal documentation to technical specialists, operational partners, and government sponsors. To succeed in this position, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another engineering field. Additionally, you should have experience analyzing driving factors behind missile system performance or working with aerospace systems. Strong programming skills with languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++ are also essential. You will be required to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret Level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
