Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at 61st Street Service Corporation. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for expediting patient flow, greeting patients, and collecting and verifying insurance coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expedite patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for patients and referring physician offices
  • Collect and verify patient insurance coverage, pre-certification, and update EPIC registration
  • Prepare and complete paperwork in preparation for patients' imaging and answer phones
  • Interact with referring physician offices in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED certificate required
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a physicians' billing or third-payer environment
  • Ability to understand and navigate managed care eligibility, insurance billing requirements, and obtaining pre-authorizations
  • Functional proficiency and comprehension of medical terminology
  • Experience in Epic and/or other electronic billing systems is preferred
