**Role Overview: Production Operations Manager**

The Production Operations Manager is tasked with efficiently overseeing production activities within a designated area of the facility while cultivating collaborative partnerships with Colgate-Palmolive colleagues. This role is essential in achieving the agreed-upon business outcomes while fostering positive employee relations.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Establish and nurture positive relationships and trust within the manufacturing environment.
  • Oversee personnel, materials, and equipment to achieve area performance targets, as indicated by plant metrics.
  • Accountable for the quality and productivity of the production area, ensuring high service levels.
  • Monitor and analyze variances related to materials, labor costs, or finished goods, with overall financial responsibility and the ability to communicate financial implications of proposed changes.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures regarding staffing, shift rotations, vacation scheduling, temporary assignments, and training to meet operational needs.
  • Responsible for developing and executing the daily production schedule, collaborating closely with production planners to enhance overall service and cost efficiency.
  • Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction programs in manufacturing, adhering to TPM principles.
  • Formulate strategies and development plans to enable teams to progress towards achieving business results as required in the category.
  • Integrate new technologies within the production area.
  • Provide recommendations on both capital and operational budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with Colgate-Palmolive, state, local, and federal regulations related to EOHS, Quality, and Regulatory within the area of responsibility.
  • Communicate and implement the local Supply Chain vision, mission, strategy, and objectives within the facility.
  • Facilitate effective communication and resolve labor relations matters within the area.
  • Empower team members through training, information sharing, coaching, feedback, performance appraisals, and delegation to foster the development of individuals, teams, and interpersonal skills.

**Required Qualifications:**

  • B.A./B.S. Degree required
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to meet business requirements
  • Proven skills in relationship building, teamwork promotion, production management, materials management, continuous improvement, and mentoring

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Degree in a technical discipline such as Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Prior experience and proficiency with SAP

**Compensation and Benefits**

Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $128,000.00 USD

Compensation is based on various non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and market location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may receive annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and, for Executive-level roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.

Subject to the terms and conditions of applicable benefits plans, all salaried employees are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:

  • **Insurance:** Employees (and their eligible dependents) can participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, and Disability insurance plans.
  • **Retirement Plans:** Employees can enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which offers company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements.
  • **Vacation/PTO:** Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually.
  • **Paid Holidays:** Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually.
  • **Paid Sick Leave:** Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year.
  • **Paid Parental Leave:** Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements).
