Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at Performance Food Group. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our delivery fleet, ensuring that our customers receive their products on time and in good condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the creation and maintenance of delivery routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
  • Supervise a team of drivers and logistics coordinators to ensure that all delivery schedules are met
  • Collaborate with our transportation management team to resolve driver route concerns and improve delivery efficiency
  • Ensure that all routing activities are leveraging our Roadnet application to minimize delivery costs and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our logistics team to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field
  • Basic/Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and routing software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates/2-year technical degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field
  • Intermediate/Advanced computer skills, including routing software applications and MS Office
