H Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team at Helion Software, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with others.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our primarily Microsoft-based infrastructure, including software and hardware upgrades, monitoring, and other maintenance tasks. They will also assist with project management, documentation, and internal staff support.
H Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve network slowness, down networks, email issues, MS365 suite issues, and vulnerability remediation
- Install and configure Windows HyperV VMs
- Onboard and offboard staff and client computers/servers/firewalls
- Install and configure Windows servers
H Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of SQL and databases
- Experience with cloud hosting, development, or deployment
- Prior experience supporting business software applications and software environments
- Linux CLI and server management skills
- FreeBSD/OPNsense/pfSense firewall experience
H Preferred Qualifications
A dedicated working environment with reliable, high-speed internet and minimal distractions is essential. You should also be comfortable with being on calls and meetings throughout the day and authorized to work in the United States. A background screen and drug/toxins test may be required.
While most work is done remotely, some activities may require occasional on-site presence at the Helion office in Keizer, Oregon. We offer a competitive starting salary, $62,500 per year, and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings.
