Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer at AMMEGA, you will play a key role in the installation, operation, and maintenance of our equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the layout and start-up of new facilities
- Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
- Focus on continuous improvement and optimization of equipment performance
- Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new equipment
- Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software
- Perform engineering calculations to support design work
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and work with vendors and contractors
- Utilize and maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Develop and lead a skilled Maintenance department to perform preventative maintenance, urgently troubleshoot issues, and reduce waste
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in engineering
- PLC knowledge preferred
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts and experience designing mechanical systems and products
- Creative problem solver, strong communicator, and resourceful leader
- Manufacturing (Lean & Six Sigma) experience preferred
