Position Overview

Ashland Hills Hotel is looking for dedicated and professional Event Service Attendants to enhance our team and deliver outstanding service at a variety of gatherings and occasions. Position Information

This is a part-time role with an hourly compensation structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine Event Orders to familiarize yourself with the daily schedule of activities.
  • Prepare event spaces for designated functions.
  • Provide consistently professional, engaging, and welcoming service throughout all event phases.
  • Set up, deliver, and maintain refreshment stations.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of food and beverage items are available.
  • Execute all opening and closing tasks, including side work and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Assemble and disassemble buffets and other specialized food service setups.
  • Confirm that all doors and equipment are securely locked, all systems are turned off and properly stored, and keys are returned post-events.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic bar terminology and wine service.
  • Report any equipment requiring repair or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Six months to one year of relevant experience in food service or hospitality.
  • Possession of a current food handler card and liquor service permit.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
