Windows System Administrator/Engineer

Job Summary:
Pivotal Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Administrator/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, and related services to ensure seamless operation and high availability.
- Desktop and Laptop Support: Manage and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and other client devices to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Network Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routers to ensure secure and efficient data transfer.
- Documentation and Compliance: Develop and maintain system documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance and availability, and take proactive measures to prevent downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users or identified through monitoring to ensure minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards and best practices to protect sensitive data and maintain a secure IT environment.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup: Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime in the event of a disaster.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed to ensure optimal system performance and user productivity.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Systems Administrator/Engineer role.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, and related services, as well as strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routers.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
