Position Overview

As a vital member of our team, you will handle incoming inquiries and assess the products, services, or resources that our members may require.

Your role will involve providing direct assistance to members or connecting them with the appropriate personnel who can offer the specific support they need.

We seek individuals with a minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, particularly those who can manage more complex member inquiries while maintaining exceptional service standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • 30% Identify and promote products/services that could enhance member satisfaction, providing detailed information over the phone and encouraging members to enhance their engagement with our organization.
  • 20% Execute teller functions for members, such as transferring funds, stopping payments, and providing account information, ensuring a friendly and efficient service experience.
  • 20% Investigate and resolve routine member inquiries and concerns, ensuring thorough follow-up and satisfaction.
  • 15% Answer incoming calls, assess the needs of the caller, verify their identity, and determine whether to provide direct assistance or connect them with the right resource.
  • 10% Monitor and process loan payoff information, communicating accurately and promptly with relevant parties.
  • 5% Support other departments and branches with transactions as necessary, assisting in fulfilling member requests and verifying merchant information.

All employees must adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations.


Qualifications

Experience

At least 2 years of experience in a customer-focused environment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Interpersonal Skills

Strong knowledge of credit union products and services, along with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Additional Skills

Dependability and a professional demeanor are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively with others.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Must be able to perform primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform computer work for extended periods is required.

Must maintain regular attendance and be capable of handling multiple priorities effectively, demonstrating composure under pressure.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse personalities are essential.
