Our Child Development Center (CDC) operates within a residential substance abuse treatment facility, offering essential support to parents engaged in our services.

The CDC is licensed by the Child Care Division of the State of Oregon and stands out as the sole program of its kind in Lane County. Our inclusive classrooms create a nurturing atmosphere tailored to meet the developmental needs of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

We are proud to have achieved a 5 Star rating in the QRIS/SPARK program, which aims to elevate the quality of childcare throughout the state.

Current Openings:

Lead Teacher

Compensation: $19-$23/hr based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a certified early childhood program for children aged 6 months to 6 years.
  • Currently enrolled in the Oregon Child Care Division's Criminal Background Registry (CBR).
  • Registered in the Oregon Registry Online with a step number of Step 9 or higher.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening (including Cannabis/THC).

Preferred Qualifications:

Lead Teachers: A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement early childhood development theories in daily activities, catering to the unique needs of each child.
  • Capability to supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times, including the physical ability to monitor active children and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Strong teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with staff, parents, and community resources.
  • Proficient decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly in emergency situations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced technology skills or a willingness to learn (e.g., computer, internet, email, iPad).
