The Willamette Family Child Development Center (CDC) operates within one of our residential substance abuse treatment facilities.
The CDC is available to parents engaged in Willamette Family services. It is licensed by the Child Care Division of the State of Oregon and stands as the sole program of its kind in Lane County. Our inclusive classrooms foster a supportive atmosphere tailored to meet the developmental and specific needs of children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, grouped by their respective age ranges.
Our CDC has received a prestigious 5 Star rating in the QRIS/SPARK program, which is a statewide initiative aimed at elevating the quality of child care throughout Oregon.
Current Openings for Educators:
Lead Teacher
Compensation: $19-$23/hr, based on qualifications and experience

Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a certified early childhood program for ages 6 months to 6 years
- Currently enrolled in the Oregon Child Care Division's Criminal Background Registry (CBR)
- Registered in the Oregon Registry Online with a step number of Step 9 or higher
- Pre-employment drug screening (including Cannabis/THC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Lead Teachers: Minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to implement early childhood development theories in daily activities and adapt to the unique needs of children.
- Capability to supervise and monitor children consistently to ensure a safe environment, including the physical ability to respond to active children and lift up to 35 lbs.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and community resources.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, especially in emergency situations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced technology skills or a willingness to learn (such as computer, internet, email, iPad, etc.)
