About the Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Willamette Family, Inc.'s Child Development Center (CDC). As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing environment for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply early childhood development theory in daily activities and adapt to the individual needs of children.
  • Supervise and monitor children at all times to ensure a safe environment.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and community resources to provide a comprehensive care experience.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or crisis situations.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • One year or more of experience in a certified early childhood program.
  • Currently enrolled in the Oregon Child Care Division's Criminal Background Registry (CBR).
  • Enrolled in the Oregon Registry Online and possess a step number (Step 9 or higher).
  • Pre-employment Drug Screening (including Cannabis/THC).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE).
