POSITION SUMMARY
The College of Health Sciences at Oral Roberts University is inviting applications for the role of adjunct faculty in Healthcare Administration. This position is ideal for professionals in the field of Healthcare Administration. The adjunct faculty will be responsible for instructing courses within the undergraduate Healthcare Administration program. These 3-credit courses serve as an introduction for new students entering the healthcare administration field. It is essential that candidates align their strengths with the courses offered in the program. A commitment to a Spirit-Empowered Christian ethos and compatibility with the university's honor code is crucial.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver instruction at the undergraduate level through both in-person and online formats, with potential for graduate course involvement.
- Engage in continuous development, assessment, and enhancement of course offerings.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of the educational program.
- Oversee the teaching of classes within the program.
- Provide instruction focused on teaching and learning to help students achieve all course objectives and outcomes.
- Participate in professional development initiatives to enhance teaching and facilitation skills.
- Contribute to university-wide efforts aimed at recruitment, retention, and graduation success, including monitoring and assessing program retention and graduation rates.
- Complete all administrative tasks associated with instructional duties.
Preferred Experience:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff across diverse academic disciplines.
- At least one year of teaching experience at the college or university level.
- Dedication to undergraduate education and student achievement.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently while engaging effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including students, faculty, administration, alumni, and healthcare professionals.
- A focus on student-centered teaching, technology integration in instruction, and industry engagement in the classroom is highly valued.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience in healthcare practice, evaluation, or research.
- Understanding of the healthcare landscape.
