Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Education to join our team. As a globally recognized, Holy Spirit-empowered university, we develop whole leaders for the whole world through a unique Whole Person education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate pedagogy courses, including PED 100, PED 131, PED 132, PED 133, PED 134, PED 136, PED 203, PED 314, PED 409, and PED 411.
  • Supervise student teachers and oversee pre-clinical and clinical assignments.
  • Engage in research in the chosen field and collaborate with colleagues on research projects.
  • Publish in scholarly journals and present findings at academic conferences.
  • Participate in collegiate faculty meetings, departmental faculty meetings, and committees.
  • Model a service leadership mindset in all activities and interactions with stakeholders.
  • Design, revise, and update courses and materials based on new developments in current events and research findings.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in P-12 teaching or administration, with several hours completed toward an Ed.D. or Ph.D.
  • 5 years of P-12 teaching and/or P-12 administration experience.
  • Experience in teaching at the higher education level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ed.D. or Ph.D. in education or a related field.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong pedagogical content knowledge and skills.
  • Supervision skills of internship candidates.
  • Knowledge of integration of technology skills during classroom teaching.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and database software programs.
