Faculty Position in Electrical Engineering

The College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Tulsa invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level with expertise in Resilient Infrastructure, Power System Optimization and Planning, and Transportation Electrification.

Research Focus

We are particularly interested in researchers with demonstrated capacity in the application of AI/ML to grid simulation and advanced distributed power. The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is committed to expanding its research and academic strengths in the areas of Internet-of-Things, cyber physical systems, autonomous systems, cyber security, RF/optical communication, and power.

About the Department

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at The University of Tulsa was founded in 1969, receiving ABET accreditation in 1971. It offers B.S., M.S., and Master of Science in Engineering (M.S.E.) degrees in electrical engineering, and a B.S. in Computer Engineering. The ECE Department jointly with the Tandy School of Computer Science offers M.S., M.S.E, and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering.

Qualifications
  • Earned Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field and a record of teaching, research, and scholarly accomplishments commensurate with the rank of associate or full professor.
  • Evidence of participation in a research program with the potential to create high-impact research that attracts sustainable levels of external funding and creates opportunities to mentor Ph.D. students.
  • Evidence of a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including an ability to teach courses in the Department's degree programs.
  • Evidence of an on-going interest in interdisciplinary approaches to scholarship and teaching.
