Game Designer Job Description

At IDR, Inc., we're seeking a talented Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of engaging game content. As a Game Designer, you'll be responsible for designing new champions, powers, adventures, and other content for The Path of Champions. You'll work closely with our team to understand the target audience and tailor design decisions to meet their preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new game content, including champions, powers, and adventures.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand player preferences and design content accordingly.
  • Utilize data and analytical skills to identify opportunities for enhancing the player experience.
  • Develop and implement card, adventure, and power content using scripting tools.
  • Improve and innovate existing design frameworks and develop new design approaches.
  • Collaborate with designers, insights teams, product managers, and narrative teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a professional game designer.
  • Experience in working with or playing strategy games.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages for content creation.
  • Knowledge of card games and their features.
  • Experience in tuning and balancing content for strategy games.
  • Broad understanding of mechanics and systems design.
