Orange Comet is looking for a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our creative team. We are dedicated to bringing the biggest entertainment brands and IPs to content creation platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, and Fortnite. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game design with specific experience in designing engaging and innovative games on Roblox. Applicants should have at least three years of experience in game design, with a deep understanding of Roblox's unique capabilities and player community. Responsibilities Design and develop engaging game mechanics, levels, and systems for Roblox games. Create detailed game design documents and prototypes to communicate ideas clearly. Work closely with artists, programmers, and other team members to bring game concepts to life. Conduct playtesting sessions and gather player feedback to iterate and improve game designs. Stay updated on the latest trends in game design and the Roblox platform. Ensure all game design elements align with the overall vision and objectives of the project. Qualifications Minimum of three years of game design experience, with a focus on Roblox or similar interactive platforms. Strong portfolio showcasing previous game design work, particularly for Roblox. Proficiency in using Roblox Studio and scripting in Lua. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience or certifications are also considered. Preferred Technologies Design Tools: Roblox Studio, other game design tools Scripting Languages: Lua Project Management: Basic understanding of tools like Jira or Trello Git (or other version control systems) Location This role is 100% remote with Orange Comet HQ located in Burbank, California. Compensation The base salary range for a remote position in the United States is $60,000 USD - $145,000* USD + benefits. *Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
