We are currently seeking a Senior Vice President of Marketing Analytics to join our dynamic team. In this executive role, you will provide the organization with specialized knowledge, development, and practical application of data-driven reporting, analysis, and analytical frameworks to enhance decision-making for both our internal stakeholders and clients. You will offer insights and predictive models that drive improved marketing outcomes and impact. This position exemplifies excellence in Marketing Sciences and leads a team of data architects, visualization specialists, and analysts to support measurement, insights, modeling, and related analytical endeavors. You will excel in narrating stories through data, representing the agency's advanced analytical capabilities.

Your expertise will be crucial in framing and managing performance marketing measurement, providing guidance to the organization and its pharmaceutical clients on developing industry success metrics. You will establish practices that communicate market measures and insights to the organization, particularly to the Planning, Engagement, and Media teams, enabling compelling and measurable multichannel marketing strategies. This role will educate and cultivate this capability across the Integrated Strategy team and Marketing Analytics. You will collaborate closely with the Engagement Strategy and Media Operations teams to provide objective rationales for designing, enhancing, and understanding market behaviors.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management:

  • Measurement Model Development: Oversee the creation of measurement models and connect analytical results to actionable business applications.
  • Performance Planning: Formulate performance measurement and data collection strategies.
  • Data Integration and Assessment: Integrate data from diverse channels and sources for comprehensive analysis while accurately evaluating data quality.

Data Interpretation & Insights Generation:

  • Dashboard and Report Development: Supervise the creation of dashboards and standardized reports to provide insights to marketing stakeholders.
  • KPI and Model Maintenance: Lead the establishment and upkeep of marketing key performance indicators, ROI models, and predictive models for campaigns.
  • Campaign Enhancement: Offer recommendations for campaign optimization and influence marketing planning.
  • Data Storytelling: Present data with visualizations that support conclusions and insights.
  • Marketing Mix Model Improvement: Lead ongoing enhancements to marketing mix models to boost client marketing ROI.
  • Multi-Touch Attribution Development: Oversee the creation and application of multi-touch attribution models for relevant marketing campaigns.

  • Business Requirements Creation: Manage the development of project intake forms and statements of work based on client needs and deliverables with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, mining data for relevant and actionable insights.
  • Curiosity and Innovation: Embody the value of curiosity and a commitment to learning about current trends in surveys, media, health, and analytics that may influence analysis.
  • Client Management: Simultaneously manage multiple clients, ensuring consistent, high-quality deliverables that adhere to timelines and budgets.
  • Internal Process Optimization: Oversee the creation of internal processes and templates to enhance the efficiency and quality of Marketing Analytics deliverables.
  • Business Development Participation: Engage in business development initiatives as required.
  • Technology Research: Conduct research on emerging technologies that could enhance the company's services and operations.

Management, Mentorship, and Leadership:

  • Foundational Work Management: Lead the team in managing foundational work and provide thought leadership to improve data utilization in marketing practices.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior team members as they develop their skills, providing training, guidance, and leadership as necessary.
  • Team Development: Assign projects to balance workloads and challenge team members' skills, ensuring projects showcase the agency's capabilities.
  • Feedback Provision: Offer formal and informal feedback to direct reports to foster their creative development and professional growth.
  • Performance Evaluations: Participate in performance reviews and provide coaching to create growth plans for direct reports as needed.
  • Psychological Safety Promotion: Facilitate participation, inclusion, and diversity of perspectives within your team and throughout the agency.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics within a highly data-driven environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Data Translation Skills: Proficient in translating quantitative data into actionable recommendations and aligning business objectives with marketing goals and metrics.
  • Technical Expertise: Highly skilled in econometric and statistical modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, logistic regression, predictive modeling, and forecasting.
  • Tools Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in tools such as Datorama, SAS, SPSS, R, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Hadoop.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of translating analytics into content suitable for executive management.
  • Work Ethic: Strong organizational skills and a dedicated work ethic.
  • Educational Background: MS or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, engineering, or economics preferred.
