YOUR ROLE:
The Vice President of Analytics Strategy will spearhead the strategic planning and execution of digital measurement solutions for RAPP's client projects, offering expert consultation and technical solutions to achieve tracking and analytics objectives. This role requires a balance of leadership and deep expertise in tracking architecture, conventions, taxonomies, and best practices in martech platforms, including analytics and digital media. At RAPP, Analytics Enablement bridges the gap between analytics and technology, ensuring thorough marketing measurement in a privacy-conscious, cookieless environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Analytics Enablement team in developing tracking architecture and validating measurement methodologies across client and agency projects.
- Engage directly with clients, partners, and agency colleagues, fostering confidence through a documentation-first approach.
- Draft Statements of Work (SOWs), scope documents, and project resource estimates; contribute to agency business development efforts.
- Manage personnel to promote team development and talent retention.
- Design tracking architecture for client initiatives and campaigns, creating flow diagrams and technical specifications to enable tracking, analysis, and optimization of both digital and offline interactions.
- Educate clients and agency colleagues on industry developments related to analytics and data privacy, including the cookieless future and relevant frameworks.
- Develop and maintain campaign naming conventions and taxonomies.
- Conduct assessments of client marketing and technology ecosystems, business objectives, and resource availability.
- Provide guidance on CRM and email marketing measurement using tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Advise on digital media tracking based on experience with various platforms and tools.
- Support tag management implementation and validation through leading platforms.
- Promote the Analytics Enablement discipline and objectives to clients and cross-disciplinary leadership peers to identify new opportunities and encourage the adoption of existing services.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10-15 years of experience in analytics and technology, with a minimum of 5 years in Advertising, Marketing, Analytics, or Digital Media firms managing multiple clients.
- Proven experience in managing agency teams, fostering talent retention, and providing growth opportunities.
- Skilled in authoring scope documents, including SOWs and project roadmaps.
- Experience in implementing and configuring analytics systems, reporting, and testing methodologies.
- Proficient in utilizing tag management systems to support analytics tracking across various platforms.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 and Adobe Analytics.
- Familiarity with enterprise taxonomy management tools and email analytics platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to ongoing education in the marketing landscape.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking abilities.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of talent development and effective communication.
