Role Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Elastic Engineer who will be instrumental in crafting a new Elastic framework. This role involves designing and executing efficient search and data analytics solutions, ensuring peak system performance and scalability. Your expertise will be vital in establishing and upholding a stable and effective system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elasticsearch Cluster Oversight:
    • Lead the creation and upkeep of Elasticsearch clusters.
    • Guarantee high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization of Elasticsearch systems.
  • Backend Development:
    • Develop and sustain backend systems utilizing modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
    • Emphasize the construction of scalable and efficient backend services and APIs.
  • Data Management and Ingestion:
    • Oversee the ingestion of network data into the Elastic Stack (ELK – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Airflow).
    • Enhance data processing pipelines and storage solutions.
  • Quality Assurance and Automated Testing:
    • Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure software integrity and reliability.
    • Engage in code reviews and quality assurance practices.
  • Microservices Architecture:
    • Contribute actively to the development and maintenance of a distributed microservices architecture.
    • Ensure that microservices are well-structured, efficient, and seamlessly integrated.
  • Document system functionalities, APIs, and operational procedures for both users and the development team.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in TypeScript (ES6+) development, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Extensive knowledge of Elasticsearch, including:
    • Designing and establishing Elasticsearch clusters from the ground up.
    • Configuring indexes, managing sharding, and partitioning strategies.
    • Implementing aliases and optimizing cluster performance.
    • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Elasticsearch clusters.
  • Proficiency with the Elastic Stack:
    • Hands-on experience with the complete Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), particularly in configuring and managing these tools in production settings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and think critically.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
