Maintenance Support Specialist

Location: Duluth, MN

The Jamar Company is on the lookout for a dedicated and innovative Maintenance Support Specialist who excels in a dynamic environment and possesses a keen eye for detail. This role is essential in enhancing our maintenance operations and ensuring seamless coordination within the department.

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Support Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting the maintenance department in organizing and scheduling work tasks. This includes collaborating with team members, comprehending equipment processes, and managing data entry and updates in the CMMS system as necessary. The role requires close collaboration with various departments, including Refinery Operations and Engineering, as well as external contractors.

Qualifications:

A 2-year Technical Degree is preferred. Experience with SAP Enterprise Asset Management or similar CMMS software is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook) is essential. Candidates should demonstrate exceptional computer skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct efficient internet research and data gathering.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to effectively plan and manage tasks and projects.
  • Draft technical documentation, interpret vendor manuals and drawings, and perform cost analysis within budget constraints.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety and collaborative teamwork.
  • Work independently towards defined goals with minimal supervision.
  • Prepare and deliver clear presentations as needed.
