Job Title: Maintenance/Janitor

The Duluth Bethel Society is seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Janitor to become an integral part of our team within a non-profit residential treatment and correctional environment. The successful candidate will oversee the regular maintenance of the premises, execute routine repair tasks, and be prepared to respond to urgent situations as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily maintenance duties, including but not limited to painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure facility functionality
  • Be available for after-hours emergencies and on-call situations as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a boiler's license and knowledge of HVAC systems is advantageous
  • Previous experience in maintenance or similar roles is preferred
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing a variety of physical tasks
  • Detail-oriented with a strong ability to meet deadlines
  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check
