Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a talented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for coordinating human resources activities, including employment and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
- Recruit and interview candidates, providing management with hiring recommendations.
- Coordinate the hiring process, including background and reference checks, salary negotiations, and job confirmation letters.
- Coordinate employee-relations activities, including employee counseling, policy interpretation, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.
- Design and place position announcements, advertise job openings, and participate in job fairs to attract qualified candidates.
- Conduct exit interviews, communicate findings to management, and respond to inquiries regarding our processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
- Develop employees through ongoing information and training sessions, providing support and problem resolution.
- Coordinate the distribution and communication of projects, including the Employee Policy handbook, 401(k) open enrollment, and employee recognition.
- Identify potential employee-relations issues and make recommendations to management.
- Investigate claims of harassment or other company-guideline violations and coordinate the administration of workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
- Assist in the administration of company compensation and benefits programs.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of California Labor Laws preferred.
- Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
- Experience in recruiting and staffing.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Bilingual skills a plus.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent, two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
