Position Summary: The Senior Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting the internal process engineering team throughout various stages of EPC projects, from front-end engineering design (FEED) to commissioning and post-startup phases.

Project Scope: Projects can range from smaller engineering-only tasks valued at $50,000 to large-scale EPC projects worth up to $200 million. The Senior Process Engineer will also contribute to proposal development and estimating for potential EPC project bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project scope and provide accurate estimates for new project proposals.
  • Select and implement appropriate design concepts and technologies for new projects, as well as enhancements for existing designs.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to address project challenges and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and engineering-specific policies and procedures within the process engineering workflow.
  • Act as the lead process design engineer on significant projects, demonstrating a high level of competency in task execution.
  • Facilitate internal and client meetings to present and explain design documents, including P&IDs, equipment sizing, and other critical project documentation.
  • Review 3D models created by other disciplines to verify proper equipment configuration and piping layout.
  • Monitor project budgets to maintain cost control across various project elements, including labor hours and engineered equipment costs.
  • Possess specific expertise in the detailed design, installation, and integration of technologies and processes related to natural gas processing and transmission facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering is preferred; other engineering disciplines may be considered if qualifications are met.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in midstream oil and gas design and/or operations is required.
  • Applicants should be licensed Professional Engineers or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Experience in a multi-layered EPC organization is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while serving as a lead process engineer.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a commitment to mentoring and training junior engineers.
  • A collaborative team player dedicated to upholding the culture and legacy of Saulsbury Industries.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to stand for long durations and walk through project sites.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
